Villaroyo & Villarroyo: A Note on Gibo

One needs to go around the country to know who the real administration candidate is. Gibo is the candidate of the administration. He is the president’s man. Gwen Garcia, de facto leader of One Cebu, even held a motorcade and rallies to make sure that the 2.3 million Cebu votes go the administration candidate. The events in Cebu wiped out the fairy tale that Mike Arroyo ordered Gwen to support the standard bearer of the Nationalista Party. What is ridiculous about the stories is not the story itself but the writers. They are some of the most respected in journalism and I don’t know what their emotions looking at the video and pictures of Gibo with the powerful One Cebu Party leader (see villarroyo secret candidate )

When you go to the country sides, you would see posters of local administration politicians side by side with campaign posters Gibo and his running mate Edu Manzano. You can see the headquarters of Lakas-CMD-KAMPI with campaign posters of Gibo on top of the buildings. The villarroyo conspiracy is boosted by stories that GMA and the administration party is not giving enough funds for the campaign and Prospero Pichay gave a mere 90 million pesos for the campaign of the national candidates. The media repeated the story several times and worse, they invited opinion twisters on their shows.
The strategy of the administration is to place the funds not with the national candidates but with the local candidates. The local candidates have the duty to promote the national team. This was their strategy during the last two elections. However, this angle is not seen by the media or that the media just turned a blind eye. The Liberal Party despite the fact the Gibo is the administration candidate is fanning the flames of the villar arroyo issue to make sure that the standard bearer of the Nationalista Party eis defeated.
