The word phlebotomist is associated with the act of drawing blood and the person who does this job is known as phlebotomist. They are highly qualified medical professionals who are highly valued in medical offices and labs.

It includes human structure, techniques of using needle, patient relationship, medical safety and record keeping. One can get the phlebotomist associate’s degree in 2 years and bachelor’s degree in 4 years. Some community colleges and hospitals also arrange vocational training for their students so that students can receive phlebotomist training in less than one year.
